We are looking for a Trader Trainee with strong German language skills (professional or native level) to join our international trading team. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full trading cycle and build a commercial career with a global outlook. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Trader Trainee, you’ll be involved in the entire trading process, from sourcing and purchasing to sales and customer dialogue in international markets, with an initial focus on the German market. You’ll work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and customers, gaining insights into both the commercial and operational side of trading. Your tasks will typically include: Administrative and operational support tasks, including order creation Building your own customer portfolio over time Sales and client dialogue Purchasing and supplier dialogue Close collaboration with Logistics, Business Operations, and Finance Market research and outreach to new customers Handling claims and commercial follow-ups You will follow a structured trainee programme with onboarding, mentoring, and continuous development, giving you the tools to grow into a commercial role within trading. As part of our trainee team in Copenhagen, you will also contribute to shared trainee responsibilities and support day-to-day activities in the office. YOUR PROFIL We are looking for someone who is motivated by learning, responsibility, and international collaboration: You are curious, proactive, and eager to learn You thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a cool head under pressure You are commercially minded and enjoy working with people You take ownership and follow through on your tasks You are outgoing and confident in building relationships LANGUAGE SKILLS You speak German at a professional or native level (essential) You communicate fluently in English Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement We imagine that you have completed HHX, EUD, EUX Business, a foundational course (HG, HGV, HGS) from a business college, or a general upper-secondary education (HF, STX, HTX). Experience from a similar industry or relevant background is an advantage, but not a requirement.
